American Legion 5 Miler and 4.07 Run, Medway - June 28, 2014

Sarah is the second overall female!

From Sarah: Jennifer Nicholls, Peter Rackley and I ran the Annual American Legion 5 Miler and 4.07 Run.  I think the 4.07 was supposed to be a 5k.  There was confusion at the beginning because in order to make this 5 miles, we had to do some crazy loop in the parking lot.  Half the field went the wrong way either at the start or during the loop.  It was a small race so it worked out ok (eventually).

From Sarah: Great race in Boston, cool to start but got hotter as the race went on as we hit that long stretch on Comm Ave by BU.

SRR 26x1 Marathon Relay - June 21, 2014

TVFR takes 9th place with a time of 2:46:45.

From Mary Tyler: Great day at the relay, even if I didn't run it myself.  Congratulations to everyone.  Ted (with a little help from me) took over 1000 pictures, so there is at least one of every runner.  We stayed to make sure we got pictures of the last teams to finish.  A BOMF runner was the last in, but don't think I've ever seen a bigger grin when everyone started applauding as he sprinted to the finish.  Back On My Feet - changing lives one mile at a time... If you don't know about that team, take a look and see how running has helped the homeless.

From Kristen: Luke and I did this race yesterday.  Started at 11:45 and was extremely hot and a little over a 5k.  Great race though, free beer and food!  We both placed, 2nd overall female civilian and 1st overall male civilian.

From Sarah: This weekend, I ran the Runner's World Hat Trick which is a back to back 5k and 10k and then the next day, a half marathon.  It was a great running weekend, a lot warm but good races on the famous Heartbreak Hill stretch in Newton!

Franklin 5K, Franklin - June 1, 2014

From Julia: This event was put on by the YMCA in support of inclusion for children of all abilities.  It was a great family event held at a field at an industrial park in Franklin which was closed to traffic, providing an ideal location for little ones to get out and stretch their legs.  There was a bounce house and kids race which included running through the finish area and medals for all.  Gorgeous day, great cause and a PR for me!
