TVFR Woodland 5M Trail Race - Uxbridge, MA - June 28, 2012 -  Twenty five TVFRers ran the race and fifteen take age group awards. First overall in the race was Ross Mungeam and third overall was John Dumont. First place division winners include Ross, John, Cortland Francis, Jackie Kelley, Jeff Hatem, Linda Usher and Nancy Robbins. Second place division winners were Ryan Craig, Rich Allen, Marie Paturzo and Henry Lane. Third place finishers were Greg Ebbeling, Tom McMullin, Tracy Curving and Brian Bell.

Natick Soldier Systems 5K - Natick, MA - June 23, 2012 -  From Brendan: I finished 1st overall with a time of 15:48 (my gps watch actually said it was 2.8 miles, not 3.1). It was a nice course ( half road race, half cross country) and we ran throughout the Natick Labs area. Great setup for runners with children where there is a playground and the pool is open to everyone!

Marathon Cup Challenge 26 x 1 Relay Race - Medford, MA - June 23, 2012 -  Pouring rain when we first got to the track which meant a 15 minute delay. Around runner 14, the sun came out and the temperature soared! The TVFR team takes 12th place with a time of 3:08:54.

Sharon Timlin 5K - Hopkinton, MA - June 10, 2012 -  A good turnout from TVFR on a warmish day. Eric Latimer and John Parker take 1st place in their divisions. Glenn Miller, Ken Becker and Charlene Gaboriault take seconds and Jessica Allen is third in her division.

Worcester Marathon - Worcester, MA - June 3, 2012 -  From Mike: The only good thing about this race was the course. very hilly and challenging for the 1st half, then scenic and mostly downhill the rest of the way. There were 5 porta potties at the start for 1100 people in the 5k, 1/2 and full. Poorly marked course (which was advertised as a Boston qualifier, and i read today that it didn't get certified in time) and very few water stops. Whatever they had for food (i think it was just bags of chips) was pretty much gone by the time the marathoners finished. I won't be back.

1st Annual Military Peer Support 5K - Milford, MA - June 3, 2012 -  From Coleen: What a great race it was this past Sunday. A flat fast course, great cause and fabulous food and raffles. Julia takes first place in her division and Brian and Coleen both take second place in their divisions.

21st Annual Covered Bridges Half Marathon - Pomfret, VT - June 3, 2012 -  From Mike Ran the Covered Bridges Half Marathon up in Pomfret, VT on Sunday. Was very thankful that the weather broke in our favor. Enjoyed the scenery and the race scene. Bands every mile or so. Water stops every other mile. Plenty of volunteers and race support. Party afterwards was very well organized, lots of food, beverages, and even post race massage. Only complaint was the approx. mile walk uphill to get back to the cars. I asked a couple of members of support staff how to get to the parking and all of them said that it was a short walk. As I arrived back at my car, turned out I could've hopped a ride on the bus. Oh well, no harm, no foul.
