22nd Annual Whitin 5 Miler - Whitinsville, MA - November 25, 2010 - 44 TVFRers ran in this traditional Thanksgiving race. Several award winners including Glenn Miller as Male Master, John Brown as Male Senior and John Parker as Male Super Vet. Age group winners includie Keely Mungeam - 2nd, Trevor Mungeam - 2nd, Jason Stock - 1st, Tara Neal - 3rd, Charlene Gaboriault - 2st, Linda Zavalick - 1st and Ray Lussier - 1st.

This was also the second November TVFR Grand Prix Race!

16th Annual Framingham Turkey Classic 5K - Framingham, MA - November 25, 2010 - Ted Tyler runs his second race in a week after not having run hardly at all in a year and takes third in his division.

From Martin Auty: It has been about five years since I have been home for Thanksgiving and I chose the Framingham Turkey Classic. The course has been shortened from a 3.5 miler to a 5K and that is okay with me. I wouldn't call it a difficult course but it is challenging with a couple of short steep hills just where you wouldn't want them. A very steep downhill at about 2.5 miles just to get you ready for the stretch run. The weather was overcast and cold with a temperature of about 27 at the 8:00 race time. It started right on time which is amazing considering a field of 1000 runners. I overshot the water stop at the half way point and lost a few valuable seconds to turn around go and get my drink and turn around and begin running again. The water stop was right on a corner of a left turn and very difficult to see, and if my only minor issue with the race. The food and drink after the race were bountiful and the times were posted very quickly. Awards were completed by 9:15. Terrific job by the race organizers and a nice race to run before settling down to Football and Turkey, or is it Turkey and Football. Oh well you get the idea.

12th Annual Galloping Gobbler Race - Concord, NH - November 25, 2010 - From Bill Lyon: Temperature was 26 degrees at the start (9AM) and didn't warm up much by the finish. Very challenging course with the first mile plus a steep hill climb. Over 400 runners in this race. Pretty lean spread after the race but that was ok considering the day.

24th Annual Norwood Turkey Trot - Norwood, MA - November 21, 2010 - It was a cold cold morning, even at 11am (about 35 but felt like 25). Mary thought it was a tough course with many hills and downhills (which Mary DOES NOT like). Charlene did not mind the hills at all and loved the downhills. She ends up taking first place in her division, her award being a turkey plus she also won a pizza from Papa Gino's in the raffle. Mary takes third place in her division in spite of having run a 5K the day before.

37th Annual Turkey Trot 10K and 5K - Newark, Delaware - November 20, 2010 - From John Brown: I was visiting my family in Philly this past weekend and my son, Sean, and I decided to run a couple of races. We ran the 37th annual Turkey Trot 10k \ 5k run walk in Newark, DE. The 10k started at 9am and the 5k at 10:15am. The 10k course consisted of a two loop course. The 5k used the same course with one loop. We ran the 10k together and Sean managed a 30 second PR.

Stone Cat 50 Mile Trail Race - Ipswich, MA - November 6, 2010 - Over 110 people ran the 50 mile race and John finishes 9th overall.

5K for the PreK - Holliston, MA - November 6, 2010 - Second race in the Tri-Valley Grand Prix race series. Great showing by TVFRers in the prize category as just about everyone won. Jason Stock was first overall and first in his age group. Martin Auty and John Parker were first in their divisions. Glenn Miller, Bill Lyon and Charlene Gaboriault take seconds and Linda Zavalick takes a third. Trophies and medals to the winners along with a home baked goodie!

In the Grand Prix Standings, Charlene Gaboriault takes over first place with 25pts, Linda Zavalick moves up to second with 24 and Courtney Mungeam is third with 15.

For the men, Glenn Miller is first with 30 pts, Bill Lyon is second with 23 and Gary Atlas is third with 15.
